About Gamehen Graphics
Gamehen Graphics
Gamehen
Graphics is Chriss Cornish;
a book-loving, digital artist and former video
editor from California. Chriss created Gamehen
Graphics as a means to showcase and spread her
unique art, which is crafted using a combination
of software, hand-drawing and photography.
You can score your own Gamehen Graphics shirts in the Store.
The rubber-chicken-looking "G" in the logo is Gamey, who was designed with that look in mind by Chriss and named by her husband.
Chriss Cornish
By day she's an HTML coder for PINT, a webdesign house in Pacific Beach. By night she's a digital artist, gamer and book/comic reviwer. Chriss' graphic art combines the worlds in her head with a myriad of cultural traditions; Japanese woodblock prints, Irish myths, ancient Nazca pots, Viking flag details, knotwork, modern fantasy and more. She uses primarily Photoshop and Illustrator to construct her works, though, a portion of her work is drawn by hand in pencil and/or ink.
Chriss first became intrigued by the classic style and complicated simplicity of Japanese woodblock prints thanks to the websites created by David
Bull, a Canadian who moved to Japan to become a traditional woodblock
printer.
